My Journey
I chose Dr. Cheregi as the surgeon to perform my bariatric surgery due to a previous surgical experience I had with him. Even though I felt confident and comfortable with him as a surgeon, I was very nervous about doing the gastric sleeve. However, Kiersten and Dr. Cheregi were very supportive. They made the whole process very easy. They helped me to make the needed appointments for the pre-operative requirements. They have also cheered my weight loss and gave me help when needed. I felt like we were family.
During my hospital stay, Dr. Cheregi was very attentive. He checked on me multiple times and always listened attentively to any concerns or questions I had. Once I was home, my recovery from surgery was rapid. Now, my incisions are so well-healed I can barely see the scars.
Having the gastric sleeve has allowed me to reach my weight loss goals. I did not have any comorbidities prior to surgery. However, it was getting harder to move; and I was getting short of breath more easily with activities. Now, I am more active than ever. I work out six days a week. I can see the muscle definition that I have never seen before. I have lost inches from my hips and waist. Clothes fit so much better. I can even fit back into my wedding dress 33 years later!
Any potential patients must do their homework and feel comfortable with their surgeon of choice. I would always recommend Dr. Cheregi, as I believe he is a skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. I am happy I ended up with him and would give him a 5 out of 5 stars!
