My Journey

So, honestly, I have been struggling with my weight most of my life. When I went for yet another yearly physical with my primary care doctor, she referred me to Dr. Chang for weight loss surgery. I couldn’t have been happier with having Dr. Chang as my surgeon. She has helped me change my life!

While the first month after surgery was a little difficult due to the transition in diet and lifestyle, once I reached my second month things got much better. The next six months were smooth sailing since all I had to do was follow the dietary recommendations. While going through the holiday season was a bit challenging, I had the tools I needed to stay in control. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

My favorite positive after surgery is being able to wake up every day not worrying about what I look like. I can just get out of bed and just throw something on. I don’t have to stand in front of the closet for 20 minutes debating what I should wear. Other positives included getting off my medications and being able to walk comfortably. Life is good!

The best advice I could give other patients about Dr. Chang is to just believe in her, trust her, and follow her plan! She’s dang good at what she does! I would give her a huge 5 out of 5 stars. When I was done fighting the constant battle with my weight, she was there to listen to me and provide me with the direction I needed. Because of that, I changed my life and thank you doesn’t even begin to cover how grateful I am.
