My Journey
It is a true pleasure for me to write this letter of recommendation for Dr. Cheregi. I must say that I was very nervous at the beginning of my journey. I had considered weight loss surgery in the past and was skeptical that having surgery would be the right thing for me. However, my nerves were quickly calmed when I first met with Dr. Cheregi. From the start, he was among the most professional and caring physicians that I have ever encountered. He answered my questions and quickly helped me to realize that I wouldn’t be on this journey alone any longer.
The pre-operative preparations that go along with this procedure helped prepare me for what was to come and quickly renewed my self-confidence as I could see changes in my energy and overall health almost immediately. These changes have stuck with me even now months after the surgery. I had knee surgery 3 times earlier in my life and for years I struggled to be comfortable and active. However, since the surgery, my health has continued to improve both physically and mentally. I can feel it in my knees and back especially and find myself no longer needing to take breaks from strenuous activity. Can you believe it, I even find myself wanting to go to the gym 4-5 times per week!
I am proud that I made a commitment to myself and to my family to pursue this weight loss journey with Dr. Cheregi. I am taking the time to write this letter today not only because of the support that I received from Dr. Cheregi during my surgery, which was top-notch by the way, but also because he helped me to see that this procedure was merely the start of a new way of life for me.
