Our Journey Together
My wife and I decided to pursue weight loss surgery together as a team. I had been overweight my entire life and dealt with multiple health problems and was on a ton of medication. My wife was also overweight, diabetic, and taking several medications. We made the decision to have surgery in order change the course of the second half of our lives for the better.
Two years after surgery, everything has changed. The amount of medications my wife and I took have drastically reduced. We are also able to be so much more active. Just a year after our procedures, we were able to take a vacation where we enjoyed zip lining, river rafting, and riding ATV’s. That would have never been possible with our former bodies and health. Now, we are planning a trip to Europe in the next year since we have the ability to get out and explore and to see things we would have never dreamed of. Having the surgery allows us to plan to live the second half of our lives in a much different and better way.
Going through this process with Dr. Chang as our surgeon put us in a great position to succeed. Dr. Chang and her team kept us informed answered all of our countless questions and concerns. The non- assembly line approach was perfect to keep things personal and informed. Ultimately, it was the best thing we could have done for ourselves and our adult kids and the future grandchildren we will now live long enough to spoil rotten.
